2009 Valpo Triathlon:
The seventh Valpo Triathlon will be held at 8:00 a.m., Saturday, July 11, 2009, at Rogers-Lakewood Park.
Hosted by the Valparaiso Family YMCA and the Valparaiso Department of Parks and Recreation along with a number of area sponsors, this sprint distance triathlon will consist of ¼ mile swimming, 12.4-mile biking and 3.2-mile running competitions.
Division winners will be awarded in each age division for male and female, along with the overall winners, both male and female.
Interested athletes must be at least 15 years old by December 31, 2009 to participate and pre-register by July 3.
The fee per participant is $60 for a non- USA Triathlon member, $50 for a USA Triathlon member. Teams of 2 or 3 individuals may also participate.

¼ mile swim in an out-and-back format on Loomis Lake.
12.4 mile bike on county roads with some hilly areas but generally flat
3.2 mile flat running course.
Common transition area for both transitions with racks provided.

7 miles off of US 30 in Valparaiso.
