2009 Warrior Duathlon:

(just west of Hattiesburg off hwy. 98)
Duathlon: 2 mile run, 10 mile bike, 2 mile run.
A first time event, this Warrior Duathlon is a race for everyone from the beginner to the seasoned athlete.
This event is an effort for the Oak Grove High School track team to raise money to install a rubberized track. |

Course Information:
The race will begin with a 2 mile run through the Heritage grounds--some flat road, but a hilly course.
A 10 mile bike will follow along a loop course with good asphalt-- some flats, some hills, and minimal traffic.
Finish with a 2 mile run to the finish line. |

Take these directions if you are traveling to Hattiesburg coming from the:
(Allow for an additional 30 minutes to get to the race site from I-59/Hwy 49 interchange)
NORTH (Jackson, MS.): Travel on Hwy 49 South. Get on I-59 South towards New Orleans. Go about 2 miles. Take Exit 65 for US HWY 98 West towards Columbia, MS. Travel approximately 14 miles. There will be a Chevron station on your right. Go another 1/2 mile, and turn left onto Purvis-Oloh Rd. Travel 2.5 miles, and Heritage subdivision will be on your left.
SOUTH (Biloxi, MS.): Travel on Hwy 49 North to south Hattiesburg.
Get on US HWY 98 West.
Get on I-59 North towards Laurel, MS.
Take Exit 65 B for US HWY 98 West towards Columbia, MS. Travel approximately 14 miles. There will be a Chevron station on your right. Go another 1/2 mile, and turn left onto Purvis-Oloh Rd. Travel 2.5 miles, and Heritage subdivision will be on your left.
WEST Travel on US HWY 98 West. Go approximately 15 miles past Columbia, MS. Turn right onto Purvis-Oloh Rd. Travel 2.5 miles, and Heritage subdivision is on your left.
EAST (Meridian): Travel on I-59 South to Hattiesburg. Take Exit 65 for US HWY 98 West towards Columbia, MS. Travel approximately 14 miles. There willbe a Chevron station on your right. Go another 1/2 mile, and turn left onto Purvis-Oloh Rd. Travel 2.5 miles and Heritage subdivision will be on your left.
EAST (Mobile): Come into Hattiesburg on US HWY 98 West.
Get onto I-59 North, towards Laurel, MS.
Take Exit 65 B for US HWY 98 West towards Columbia, MS. Travel approximately 14 miles. There will be a Chevron stationon your right. Go another 1/2 mile and turn left onto Purvis-Oloh Rd. Travel 2.5 miles and Heritage subdivision will be on your left. |
