CSU-Pueblo X Challenge 2009:
This is the CSU-Pueblo’s 10th annual X-Challenge.
The 2009 CSU-Pueblo X Challenge Campus to Reservoir Adventure Race consists of completion of several low ropes course challenge events at CSU-Pueblo, followed by mountain biking through the Pueblo Greenway trail system, to run orienteering in the Pueblo City Park, more cycling along the greenway to the State Park, and culminating with open water kayaking in the Pueblo Reservoir and a short run to the finish in the Pueblo State Park.
The race highlights much of the natural beauty and local recreational highlights in Pueblo and the surrounding area.
The ropes course events will be completed first to determine a starting position and then the rest of the events are completed in a continuous race.
The X-Challenge is run by CSU- Pueblo EXHP 461 class under Professor George Dallam.

The X-Challenge is made up of 4 ropes course (low elements), 18 miles of cycling (mix of terrain), 3 miles run orienteering (in the city park), ½ mile open water kayak, and ¾ mile closing run.

Registration after April 11 is an additional $5. Event day registration, after April 17th, is $30, $40 and $60 for individuals, 2 person teams and relay teams respectively.
All contestants must be 18 years of age or older unless participating on a 2 person team with an adult and parental consent.
Racers will compete in two person teams in three categories: male, female and co-ed.
Four person relay teams will consist of one ropes course player, one cyclist, one runner, and one kayaker/runner.
