2009 Laramie Duathlon Race Course:
Adult Course:
Racers will gather at the starting line near the intersection of Wyoming Blvd. and Pierce Street.
The 1.2K run will go west on Wyoming Blvd. and enter Kiwanis Park, go around the park perimeter on a grass surface, and then enter the transition area on the west side of the Park.
This is a short run to help spread out the athletes before they begin the bike segment.
The 25-K bike ride begins with a gradual uphill on U.S. Highway 130 before turning north on Herrick Lane. Herrick Lane is a rolling paved road that offers a challending uphill segment just after the turn-around point.
Cyclists return to the transition area, drop off their bikes, and take off on a 5K run.
The run starts with a gradual uphill going west out of the park before turning north on Welsh Lane, a gravel road.
It turns east on Stockyards Road (also gravel) and goes to the intersection with Pierce Street near the Petro Truck Stop.
Runners turn south on Pierce until they reach Van Buren St., turning west back to the finish at the park. **Please note that this is an open course. Please look out for motorists.**
