In conjunction with the Elite World Triathlon event, top-flight Olympic- and sprint-distance age-group races will be contested with a total of up to 3,000 amateurs competing in the same venue as the world's best athletes.
The race venue/transition area is located in Mission Beach, while the swim consists of one lap in Mission Bay. The bike course navigates the roads of Mission Beach, Pacific Beach and South La Jolla. This includes an epic ascent up Mount Soledad and inspiring views of La Jolla, Mission Beach and Pacific Beach. The run portion is along the paths and streets of Mission Beach.
The Olympic distance features a 1.5km swim, a 40km bike and a 10km run. You may also choose to participate, if you qualify, in one of our challenges: Military Challenge, Collegiate Club Challenge, or 2012 USA Triathlon Club National Championships. There is no extra fee. Click here to register.
